Support the Suffolk Real Nappy Network
The Suffolk Real Nappy Network was founded by a group of parents concerned about the lack of information available about cloth nappies in Suffolk. From humble beginnings in 2002 the network has steadily grown with a shop in Ipswich opening in 2006.
The Network is a voluntary, not for profit organisation that promotes the use of washable nappies in Suffolk. Their aims are to raise awareness about real nappies and enable parents to make an enformed choice. They also actively encourage local hospitals and healthcare professionals to give information and advice about real nappies to parents and encourage childcare providers to adopt real nappy policies.
A disposable nappy can take up to 100 years before it starts to decompose, so while babies grow up, go to school, get married, have their own kids, retires, and has grandchildren, the nappies they first used just sit in landfill taking up space and causing more pollution..
